Almost everyone that comes to does the Golde Circle. It's understandable because on it are the three top places, Þingvellir, Geysir, and Gullfoss, to visit in the southwest corner of Iceland. Let me take you there. It's so much to see and learn and I have my secret spots that most people miss when they go there. . .

Furthermore, there are some options to choose from and I'm open to everything as long it's sensible to do it. For example, it can get crowded during high season and it's best to avoid it by starting the tour early to be ahead of the big couches.

The Golden Circle is a classic tour when visiting Iceland. Most visitors take this tour and 90% of them do the bus tour. That is OK, but for small groups, it's much better to go on a private tour with a local guide.

When I have friends coming to visit I want them to see more. It depends a bit on the seasons, but whatever time of year, there is always something wonderful to explore off the beaten path. South Coast of Iceland. Day Tour from Reykjavik

The south coast of Iceland is shaped by the violent interaction between ice and fire. The black sand was brought down from the mountains during catastrophic floods of melted water from volcanic eruptions under the glaciers. Eyjafjallajökull which erupted in 2010 is probably the most famous one but there are others more powerful to see. I think by understanding Icelandic geology you will enjoy the trip through this fantastic landscape and I will do my best to explain it.

Many of Iceland's most beautiful waterfalls will be on our way falling from ancient sea cliffs from the time sea level was several meters higher than it is today.

We will visit an outlet glacier, and spectacular rock formations and in the summertime look for the puffins.

I'm flexible and we can always adjust the agenda of the tour if necessary.

Become one of us for a day. Get out of the center area to meet the locals. Reykjavik is my home town where I was born but there are five more towns around Reykjavik and we will visit them all.

It can actually be difficult sometimes to know if you are in Reykjavik or in some of these neighboring towns. The lunch will be very special and you will not meet any tourists there, only locals. It's very popular so it's best to come early or late.

The open-air museum is something you should not miss. It's full of lucky old houses that escaped being torn down in the center of Reykjavik. We will visit my favorite geothermal swimming pool open all year round. Something you should not miss when in Iceland. Visiting an Icelandic home is probably not something you do every day so at the end of the tour that's maybe your only chance.

Þingvellir has the most cultural relevance in the Icelandic history and have a place in the heart of the entire Icelandic nation, this is where it all started.

You will have the spray in your face from the iconic waterfall Gullfoss and then see Strokkur hotspring the little brother of Geysir spouting hot water 90 ft up in the air every 4-10 min.
