Two days of sightseeing is a pleasant way to get to know the city without rushing. Plenty of time to explore the places that interest you most. During this tour, you will see iconic sights, picturesque views, impressive buildings, and historical places including the two UNESCO World Heritage sites of Budapest. Do not hesitate to contact me if you want a customized tour. Some optional museums and religious places that might interest you along my recommended itinerary: St Stephen's Hall, Matthias Church, Hospital in the Rock Museum, Parliament, St Stephen's Basilica, Budapest Retro Museum, Dohány Street Synagogue. The places mentioned above can be visited with a ticket. Please note that most museums in Budapest are closed on Mondays. If you have less time for sightseeing please check out the shortened version of this tour: Top Things to See in Budapest - Shorter Version - Half-Day Private Walking Tour
Tours on both days last around 6 hours depending on your own pace and requirements. We will stop for coffee and lunch breaks according to your needs. Sights along the two UNESCO World Heritage sites: Day 1 > Royal Palace, originally built as a medieval castle > Matthias Church with its snow-white, lace-like stone spire > Fisherman's Bastion, which offers a unique view of the Danube > The majestic building of the Hungarian Parliament from the outside > Shoes Monument on the Danube bank > Liberty Square: lots of history under the shady trees > St Stephen's Basilica, the largest Catholic church in Budapest Day 2 > A walk in the Jewish Quarter: Dohány Street Synagogue, Carl Lutz Monument, Gozsdu Courtyard > Central Market Hall > The beautiful neo-renaissance building of the Opera House > The 127-year-old Millennium Underground Railway > Heroes' Square with the Millennium Monument > A walk around the City Park, the city's second-largest park
