Private tour to the historic baroque city of Vác

A really pleasant half-day excursion from the rushed city! Vác is one of the oldest towns of Hungary and the second oldest bishopry seat of the country. This beautiful Hungarian town on the Danube shore, for 30 km from Budapest is rich in sights and history. The settlement's past dates back to the Roman times, but guards plenty of memories from Hungary's medieval times as well. Presently the city is most famous about its beautiful baroque buildings, so we visit the Capuciner and Franciscan Churches, the Bishop's Palace, the oldest baroque bridge of Hungary and admire the merchant houses around the main square. The cathedral built by the Italian master, Isidore Carnevale in the 18th century, and the only Triumphal Arch of Hungary are also notable sights, but the main attraction is one of the most unique museums of Hungary - Memento Mori. The beautiful promenade alongside the river Danube offers a pleasant walk and atmospheric restaurants for a good Hungarian lunch and coffee!
