Do you like hidden gems? Me too! Come join me on this 4 hours long walking tour into the heart of Pest. This tour focuses on the downtown - my home, where I spent most of my life - and attractions that are not on the top 10 must-do lists of Budapest. And since the heart of Pest is filled with such beauties the tour does not leave that area. I will show you, among many others, the oldest church/building of the city, 2 libraries, 2 universities and a baroque church too. If you are interested in the secrets and charms of Budapest, this is your tour and I am your guide since I know this area like I know the back of my hand. It is my home, it is my childhood, it is where I picture my future as well. To make the experience even more local the tour includes a Hungarian survival kit aka a lunch bag to show you what we would pack for such an adventure. It has everything a Hungarian child would have in their bags for a field trip!

Your Budapest tour itinerary

The tour starts on Elizabeth square which is the center of the city. The other stops are : - Szervita square (for a secessionist building) - Március 15. square for ancient Roman ruins and the Inner City Parish Church - Ferenciek square for the Klotild and Paris Palaces - Egyetem square for the baroque church and a university - Károlyi park - Astoria for ELTE's Humanities Campus - Kálvin square for the Szabó Ervin library and the Hungarian National Museum - Mikszáth square for the Palace district vibes. Please note that the route may be altered upon request or extreme weather conditions. The tour is entirely customizable.
