Budapest Life Behind the Iron Curtain - the Communist times in Hungary

The best start of the tour is Memento Park, where I show you all the all the famed statues of the communist era - which were not melted in - , including: - the "Stalin's boots", - Memorial of the Hungarian-Soviet Friendship, - and a huge statue of Lenin, -a funny relique, the iconic car, Trabant. Some short movies and photo exhibition recall the era's terror, and gives an overview of the dark 50's in Hungary. - We stop at Corvin-köz, the place witnessed the hardest fights between invading Russian troops and Hungarians during the Uprise of 1956. The place is famous for the statue dedicated to children between 12 and 16, who desperately and heroically defended their homeland's freedom and sacrificed even their lifes for it. - We head the Parliament's exhibition on the theme, but I tell you also some funny stories, why Hungary was called the most 'merry barrack of the Soviet Block in the newly opened Budapest Retro Museum, or at the Children's Raiway.
