Half Day Santorini City and Winery Tour

Away from the crowds & the busy areas of Santorini, you are able to see and experience the local side. Starting with the traditional village of Pirgos, one of the 5 Venetian castles of the island, built in an amphitheatrical way, dating back to 1580. Walking inside, takes you in to other era and views from what most people would expect in Santorini. An amazing custom takes place there during Easter time on Good Friday where they set up and light, a little bit over of 15000 tin cans of fire, and the village seems to be on fire. Moving on to an other small, but still amazing, village, Megalohori. Established in the 17th century, where rich land owners & barons where living here One of the characteristics here is the variety of flowers and few trees, like olive trees, pomegranate trees etc. And why don't we end the tour with a glass of wine? visiting a small family winery and taste some of the local wines and learn about the terroir of Santorini and why the vineyards are so unique from the rest of the world.
