Explore the Villages Around Agios Nikolaos - Full Day Private Tour

A relaxed short-day tour that navigates the area's quieter and authentic hinterland, a stone's throw away yet in complete contrast with the lively and crowded resorts that stretch out along the coastline. Our exploration will take us through rural villages, hilly landscapes, abandoned settlements and mills, atmospheric monasteries, and white churches while mingling with locals in a quest to understand the island's traditional way of life, which is both slow and laborious. We will visit the Towns of Neapolis for a walk in the center and get a snack from a traditional bakery, Agios Nikolaos to walk around and admire the beautiful little lake, but also the villages of Fourni for a stroll around the traditional settlement, Plaka to enjoy the amazing views to Spinalonga-the Leper Colony of Crete and lunch in a local taverna (not included-optional). Finally the traditional village of Kritsa with the thousand years old history and the beautiful little shops where we can have a greek coffee in a kafenion.
