During this special experience, I will help you travel back in time to ancient Greece with the help of a professional actress! On this enchanting theatrical weaving workshop you'll immerse yourself in the captivating tale of Arachne, the talented weaver who challenged the goddess Athena. You'll learn the intricate art of weaving as you create your very own evil eye, a symbol of protection and luck deeply rooted in Greek folklore. As you weave, you'll indulge in a soothing tea crafted from a blend of traditional Greek herbs, adding a sensory layer to your immersive experience. This workshop offers a unique blend of storytelling, craft, and culture, allowing you to connect with the rich heritage of Greece. You will be taking home not just a beautiful piece of art but also a piece of history, imbued with the myths and traditions of the past. ·At first, I'll greet you at my venue, which will be decorated with Greek folklore motifs, and introduce you to a talented actress who'll be portraying both the young weaver Arachne & the goddess Athena. ·Next, I'll serve you a herbal tea made of mixed herbs, as I explain why this is linked to the longevity of the inhabitants of the island of Ikaria. Accompanying this delight are traditional Greek cookies, bearing a century-old recipe hailing from Asia Minor. ·Once settled, we'll embark on a journey back to Ancient Greece as the performance begins. You'll play a part in aiding young Arachne as she crafts the fabled Evil Eye, striving to ward off the curse cast upon her by Athena. ·Over the next 2 hours, you'll get immersed in Greek mythology discovering the art of crafting the traditional Evil Eye, perfect for recreating at home with friends. ·As the workshop draws to a close, you'll depart with your handcrafted creation & a token of our appreciation, serving as a nice memento of your time spent with us.
