Overview of your Athens tour:

I started doing this tour because this is my best favourite place in Greek mainland. I have been visiting the castle since I was a kid and every time I leave enthralled by the experience. I would be happy to share my enthusiasm for this unique place with you. This is a full tour covering one of the best preserved medieval towns in the Mediterranean sea. It is intended to give the traveller an overview of the region with a unique agile approach that takes advantage of the time period and special preferences. We will have the chance to walk inside the castle of Monemvasia, the natural sea lagoon of Gerakas and the ancient submerged city of Asopos in Plitra, which has one of the best beaches in the region. ATTENTION: Please note that I am not a licensed tour guide that may provide commentary on historical facts during the visits inside museums and archaeological sites.

Your Athens tour itinerary

We will meet at the port of Monemvasia and then we will continue to the castle-town by car. We will walk through the cobble stone paths of Monemvasia and optionaly we will visit the upper town as well. Then we will drive to the port of Gerakas and optionally visti the acropolis with the cyclopian walls. Next we head towards the Laconian gulf and explore the underwater ruins of the ancient city of Asopos in Plitra. We may go for a swim to the beach and then head back to Monemvasia port. The itinerary can be adapted to traveller's interests: do not hesitate to contact me for a customized tour.

  • Other: IMPORTANT NOTICE: Due to strict regulation on accesibility to the Pireaus cruise terminals of private vehicles, please note that I will not be able to pick up or drop off passengers from or to Terminal B and C. In case your ship docks at one of these two terminals , you will need to meet me and my car at the main gate and I am going to drop you off just outside the main gate and not in front of the arrivals or departures lounge.
