As a native of the southern suburbs of Athens, I have spent my life living by the sea, and the coastline of my hometown holds a special place in my heart. My deep love for the sea is reflected in the joy I find in regularly driving along the stunning Athens Riviera. I can't help but admire the breathtaking views of the Saronic Gulf as I journey towards the southeastern tip of Attica, where the majestic Temple of Poseidon awaits our exploration. Let's embark together on an captivating journey from the vibrant centre of Athens to the awe-inspiring Temple of Poseidon in Sounio, Greece. Prepare to be captivated by the serene beauty of the sea, the coastal charm of Athens Riviera, and (afternoon departure) the mesmerizing sunset over the Saronic Gulf. This half day tour promises a perfect blend of ancient history, breathtaking landscapes, and the vibrant atmosphere of the Athens Riviera. -We'll begin with a departure from your hotel in Athens, or an agreed meeting point in Athens' city centre. -We'll then go on a scenic drive along Syngrou Avenue & Poseidonos Avenue, blending the urban landscape with the azure waters of the Saronic Gulf. -We'll be passing by charming coastal towns, beaches, marinas, natural wonders and historical landmarks, including photo stops along the way. -On arrival to Sounio, we'll begin a guided visit of the premises and of the 5th century BCE Temple of Poseidon. -You'll then be able to choose to either drive back the same way we came from, or alternatively through the picturesque mainland of the Attica peninsula (passing by Lavrio, Markopoulo and Athens ring road (Attiki Odos highway). -At last, we'll return to the starting point or be dropped off at another central location of your choice. *Optional coffee break/lunch/dinner and additional activities/visits on our way back (additional costs apply in case the duration of the tour is exceeded due to these).

Round-trip transportation from Athens to Sounio in a clean, fully air-conditioned, smoking-free Hyundai KONA SUV crossover, suitable for up to 3 people. If you'd like more comfort or have a larger group, feel free to message me, and I can customize the tour for you by arranging a van with a professional driver for an additional cost (250-300 euros for up to 6 people).
