Beauty and History of East Crete - Full Day Tour from Agios Nikolaos

A relaxed full-day tour that navigates the area's quieter and authentic hinterland, a stone's throw away yet in complete contrast with the lively and crowded resorts that stretch out along the coastline. Our exploration will take us through rural villages, hilly landscapes, abandoned settlements and mills, atmospheric monasteries, and white churches while mingling with locals in a quest to understand the island's traditional way of life, which is both slow and laborious. We will visit the villages of Fourni, Plaka, and the town of Neapolis with the famous Olive Oil Factory. We will have amazing views of Spinalonga-The Leper Colony of Crete and we will have a cup of coffee in a local kafenion. Then the Palace of Knossos, one of the most important archaeological sites of the whole world, where we will have a tour of the remains of these unbelievable premises.
