Philipp V.
I'm Philipp, an architect turned full-time tour guide, here to show you Munich's hidden...
Itinerary not perfect? Message Philipp V. to build a tour that’s just right for you.
Join me, Philipp, a passionate architect, on a half-day walking tour through Munich, Bavaria’s capital, to explore the Jugendstil (Art Nouveau) architectural treasures. A gateway to the birth places of Jugendstil, the expressionist movement Blaue Reiter (Blue Riders) and the german Street Art scene. As a local architect and Jugendstil enthusiast, I’m excited to guide you through an authentic experience of the Jugendstil architectural gems. With my strong connections in Munich’s cultural scene, I stay up-to-date on the latest urban developments, exhibitions and historical insights and am thrilled to share my favorite spots with you.
We will meet at your hotel/accommodation if it is in the city center, or in front of the main entrance to the theater Kammerspiele if it is not. Our route will be as follows: - Theater 'Kammerspiele' - Museum 'Theatermuseum' and 'Kunsthalle' - Bridge 'Kabelsteg' - Swimming Hall 'Müller'sches Volksbad' - Church 'Erlöserkirche' - Jugendstil District 'Schwabing' As with every ToursByLocals tour, this tour is of course customisable. Please contact me using the orange 'message guide' button to discuss this. This tour does not include a stop for lunch however if you would like to factor that in please contact me. Otherwise i will be happy to recommend some amazing places for the best of Munich's cuisine.
Contact your local guide to know more!!
We will ride by tram (public transport) sometimes.
26 Maximilianstraße, München, Bayern, 80539 Germany
I will meet you in front of the main entrance to the theater 'Kammerspiele' in the famous street Maximilianstrasse. I can be easily recognized by my colorful backpack and the blue folder in my hands. Getting there: It's best to arrive at the U-Bahn (metro) station 'Marienplatz'. From there it is a 10 minutes walk. Or you start at the 'Hauptbahnhof' (central train station) and take the Tram 19 or 21 to the station 'Kammerspiele'. Link to Google Maps: https://maps.app.goo.gl/ZgEcu63LS9ynzJVA7
