The Castle of Heidelberg is a historical landmark located in Heidelberg, Germany. It's one of the most famous castles in the country, known for its rich history, stunning architecture and picturesque location, perched on a hill overlooking the Neckar River and the city of Heidelberg. The castle has a complex architectural history, with different parts built in different styles over several centuries. The earliest structures date back to the 13th century, while the castle reached its peak during the Renaissance period in the 16th & 17th centuries. Several buildings and courtyards are enclosed within its fortified walls, including the Great Barrel Building, the Prince's Building, and the Elizabeth Gate. Its architecture is a mix of Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque styles, with each one of its elaborate detailings, ornate facades, and intricate sculptures. Let me guide you through its fascinating highlights! As you approach, you'll be amazed by its grandeur and commanding presence. Customizable itinerary:

One of the three biggest barrels that have ever been built, contained once 220, 000lt of wine. ·In the end of the tour, you can chose to enjoy a coffee or a glass of wine at the castle and finish there. Otherwise I can acompany you back to the funicular station, and back to our meeting point.
