When I tell my guests my only reason for coming to Hamburg was Hamburg itself, they always laugh,...

Experience the neighborhood of St Pauli, also known by the name of its main street, Reeperbahn - the entertainment and lust capital of Germany. Back in the day, sailors used to come here to have some fun before lengthy sea voyages. Post WWII, it has transformed into one of the most criminal districts in the country, featured in each and every German crime movie. Today, it's a reasonably safe area, where locals and foreigners come to party, have fun, and forget their troubles. From clubs to rock venues, all the way through neon-lit avenues we will explore the secrets of St Pauli. We will talk about the prostitution industry; the rise and fall of the local criminal syndicates, pimp clans, and drug traffickers, some of the most famous artists who became famous in St Pauli (not only The Beatles), and explore some of the most horrifying urban legends. I am fascinated by all these stories, and I believe it's St Pauli that makes Hamburg stand out - so I can't wait to share its many secrets with you.
- Davidswache Police Station - Herbertstrasse - Hamburg's most famous red light district street - Hans-Albers-Platz - the story of Hamburg's Frank Sinatra, and the territorial dispute of some of the most powerful people in St Pauli - Reeperbahn, the main boulevard of St Pauli - Laufhaus Eros - the first contemporary brothel, with an underground boxing ring just around the corner - Grosse Freiheit - once home to catholic refugees and Chinese immigrants, now the clubbing hotspot of Hamburg - Hafenstrasse and Fish Market - from squatting to 5 am beer and fish sandwich
