For our first outdoor adventure me and some other students have chosen hiking trail in Borjomi national park. we have started early in the morning and blazing through deep snow managed to reach ranger's cabin by the evening. We where exhausted, hungry and cold, regretting our decision until . . . We saw the endless evergreen forest forest.

Borjomi is well known mineral water from Georgia and it's story starts in a small resort town with a same name. From ancient times up to XVIII century the endless forests were favorite hunting grounds for Georgian and Russian royal family members.
The town is located almost in the heart of the biggest national parks in Georgia. It's got curative mineral and sulfur springs, beautiful parks, comfortable hotels and lots of guest houses. In ten minutes drive from town is Green monastery - IX century basilica with a tragic history. To get to it's gate one must pass through the tunnel of trees.

My Grandfather was a true Kakhetian, and as a true Kakhetian he was a great home winemaker.
I used to help him in harvesting grapes and in the processing of making wine almost every year. At night when all work was done, they were sitting at the table (Supra ), sharing secrets of the winemaking, singing traditional songs, telling the stories about our great country and its great people, and drinking the toasts. I was feeling that part of my soul and imagination was traveling in the past centuries.

All those memories inspire me to share my knowledge and culture with other nations.
