On our tour we will discover the history of wine and enjoy some great wine tastings with Syrah-based appellations (Côte-Rôtie, Saint-Joseph) and Viognier-based appellations (Condrieu).

Peacefully set between the Rhône river and the hills around, the vineyard gate is a unique place to enjoy a pleasant moment.

Everything around reminds you how much work it takes to grow the vines clinging to the hill and how useful are the stone walls dating back from the time of the changing era.

And what about the wines? The reds are full bodied and very elegant at the same time. With hints of black cherries, pepper and violets, the Côte-Rôtie are undoubtly able to age well for years and are really nice to drink in their youth.

The whites are flavoury and mouth watering with their fruity notes of apricots and white peaches.

Full Day - Annecy, Old town and Lake Cruise in the French Alps

Annecy, often called the Venice of the Alps, is one of the most beautiful places in the Alps. The city lies along a magnificent alpine lake, facing many snowy peaks of La Tournette and les Aravis mountain ranges.
Dating back from 4000 BC, Annecy is a very picturesque place with its many canals, old palaces, the castle, medieval alleyways and archways, old bridges and flower-filled window baskets along the water.

After the tour in the city, you'll embark for the a cruise on Lake Annecy, the third largest lake in France and "Europe's cleanest lake" since a lot if environmental regulations were introduced in the sixties. The cruise will take you close to all the amazing small villages that stretches along the bank like Duingt, Talloires, Saint-Jorioz.

Discover the two famous northermost Crus of thr Rhone Valley: Condrieu and Côte-Rôtie

The northern part of the Rhone valley is well known for its magnificent hilly countrysides, full of vineyards and one of the finest wines you can find in Cotes du Rhone, such as Côtes-Rôtes, Condrieu, St Joseph, Cornas and Hermitage.

We'll be heading toward the south of Lyon following the beautiful shores of the Rhone River and then driving up the hills where you'll be amazed to witness very impressive steep slopes with terraces and vineyards.

There we'll meet local winegrowers for a wine tasting. All the producers that I work with, usually family size business, will share their stories and passion about their estate, their wines, and you'll have the time to chat with them! Then, we'll be driving to the legendary Hermitage Hill, and try different wines.

Together, we'll try to understand the history of the wines of this area, the origins of the shiraz, the legend of the Hermitage Hill, and the terroir of these wine appellations.
