A life of luxury in the 18th century, pleasures, scandals… On this tour, we'll delve into the Queen's extravagant lifestyle, exploring places where this mythic figure lived. As a licensed tour guide with a Master's Degree in 18th Century French History from the Sorbonne, I'll happily answer all of these questions: Why did the Revolution happen? How did the Sun King or Marie-Antoinette live at the royal court? What was the practiced etiquette? How was it to live constantly in public? What were a Queen's duties? Why did she become a hated figure? Queen of France at 19 years old, Marie-Antoinette was rebel and capricious, leading a lavish lifestyle. She was going to the Petit Trianon to live a less formal and more intimate life with her inner circle. Beyond her incredible fate, we'll discuss the aristocracy's glamorous way of life in 18th century and the iniquities in the Ancien Regime's society.
-At first I will pick you up at your hotel in the morning. We could take a taxi, or take the suburb train. Ready to spend the day together in the magnificent area of Versailles ! -On arrival, we'll visit the Palace of Versailles, skipping the lines. -We'll then walk in the garden seeing fountains and sculptures. -Next, we could have lunch in a restaurant: la Flotille or l'Ore. -Later, away from all the bustling of the Palace, you'll be enchanted by the refined Petit Trianon and the Queen's hamlet. Art, architecture, gardens, Versailles has a dazzling beauty that will make your day unforgettable. -At the end of our visit, I will take you back to Paris by taxi or by train
