Let me take you back to the greatest achievement of 18th Century French art in this 4-hour tour. This is the spectacular Versailles which is also considered as the most famous and largest royal residence in the world.

As your private driver and guide, I will pick you at your hotel in Paris around 8h30 AM or 2 PM. We'll drive to Versailles for an hour where we skip the long queues with an advance ticket reservation.

On this complete, full‐day tour, you will discover the Landing Beaches of Normandy where on the 6th of June 1944, the Allied forces landed on the coast of Lower Normandy to start the liberation of Europe from the Nazis. You will re-live the principal events with me and battles of the Longest Day.
I will pick you up from your hotel in Paris at 7. 00 am in a deluxe private vehicle and you will depart immediately to the wonderful region of Normandy. Upon your arrival, I will be given an introduction to the battle of Normandy.

Normandy D-day Full-day tour

Of course, not everyone has the opportunity to spend a full day at Versailles. Nevertheless, remember this: A full day at Versailles isn't just twice as good as half a day : it is 10 times better!

Versailles isn't something to be rushed through; it's a place to be approached as a whole, considering its chronological complexity and its large geography. You might have seen photographs, but do you wish to truly immerse yourself ? It requires a bit of time, freedom, and it is truly worth it. Exactly like Louis XIV used to stroll through it on foot or in a carriage, gardens should be seen slowly. You'll notice perspectives changing, fountains drawing near, basins receding.

In the afternoon, explore a part of the Palace grounds called the Trianon, a pinnacle of refinement which is a world unto itself, displaying an Anglo-Chinese style garden, very different from Louis XIV's garden. The highlight is Queen Marie Antoinette's domain, with her fairy-tale-like hamlet reminding one of fairytales villages.

Versailles full day guided Tour

The plan of this 12 to 13-hour tour is to cover the significant landmarks along the 50 miles long landing beaches used by the allies on June 6th, 1944 to free Europe from the Nazi oppression.
I will cover the different sites of the battle of Normandy that ended up on August 21st before the American troops entered Paris.
Places that evoke bloody combats like the American cemetery at Omaha beach, used today as a memorial to thank those who paid of their lives to free Europe.
Places that evoke courage like "la Pointe du Hoc" (Ranger's cliff) Or the huge logistic effort at Arromanches along the coast.

The North of Paris, Montmartre - walking tour

As with the other "neighbourhood tours" on my page, the tour of the Northern Paris will explore this area in depth.

This neighbourhood is a part of the city which is caught in between the tourist attractions of Montmartre and the day to day life of people of Pigalle. You will get to see a mix of important and impressive sights (Sacré Coeur, Place du Tertre), but also hidden streets and parcs in the area of Abbesses, Lamarck-Caulaincourt. This hilly area was home to many impressionist and post-impressionist painters such as Van Gogh, Modigliani, Picasso, Renoir. The birth of modern art really.

And this was also home to me for more than 3 years. As a student I lived in Pigalle and used to run up an down the hill of Montmartre meeting my friends, exploring the city.

NB: There are MANY stairs in Montmartre. Let me know if you are comfortable with that. There are ways to avoid them, but a hill remains a hill.
