From that moment on I started doing the same thing, and voila . . . I have discovered this magnificent museum far and wide.

Known as the Lost Generation, these were men & women who had suffered through WW1. Eager to share ideas they would gather in the numerous cafés of the Left Bank & stay in the area's cheap hotels. We will visit the places where these people lived, worked & partied…bearing in mind that the bohemian Left Bank of starving artists & struggling writers has now given way to chic boutiques & high end bistros.

What makes this tour unique: the rich photographic & literary content that brings the period to life, selected excerpts of novels & poems, as well as archival recordings of the authors reading their work.

The Louvre is without doubt the most famous museum in the world and also one of the largest. If his collection of works of art is immense, the place and the building itself have had a primordial role in the history of France since the Middle Ages.

However it is easy to get lost and visiting it can be a frustrating experience if you get lost in the crowd!

I started to visit the Louvre with my Dad since I was a little kid. I loved to go there by myself and to show its secret to my friends. Visiting the place is one of the reasons I became an official guide!

This is why I would be happy to guide you there, to present you some of the most famous works in the World, like the Venus of Milo, the Victory of Samothrace, paintings like the raft of the Medusa, the Liberty guiding the people . . . and the Mona Lisa.

I take the tickets for you: the tickets are valid for the day. This means that after our tour,as long as you stay in the Pyramid hub, you can grab some food and continue by yourself before the museum close!

Entrance is free for those under 18 and for those under 25 (only citizens of the European Union).
Above 7 people, the museum requires an additional € 70 tax.

Even after many years, each time I enter the Louvre, I get the same feeling: I just can't wrap my head around the fact that such a large number of world known master-pieces are all displayed in the same place, one next to the other!

Since my youngest age, my father, an Italian art historian and architect, encouraged me to study and make copies of the great masters. I grew up literally surrounded by Leonardo and Michelangelo Drawings, covering our living room walls. Ranging from Greek and Roman antiquities and Italian Renaissance, to French Romanticism and Dutch Golden Age painters. . .

You can imagine how the Louvre is a wondrous playground for me!

Now that I have become a painter, an art educator, and a licensed tour guide, I am proud to share my passion and knowledge with you, using my artist's eye and academic background to make your Louvre experience even more unique.

Louvre Private Tour with an Italian Painter

I shall pick you up from your hotel or an indicated meet-up point and we travel around on public transport and on foot – the most efficient way and avoiding the road traffic. 

This tour is suitable for visitors who are good to walk. And because it's a private tour, we'll come and go at your pace and can be customized. 

By default, the tour includes sightseeing of the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, Palais Royale, Arc de Triomphe, Sacré Coeur, Notre Dame, and a stroll along the Champs Élysées.  We also get to have refreshments in a café.  

It is possible to omit some places mentioned and instead, opt for places in the Marais or Latin Quarters- if you wish.  I can also pick you up from the airport (CDG).  Likewise, if you don’t need a pick-up / drop-off, or you’re a sole traveller or a group- I’m flexible and will try to accommodate.  Please don’t hesitate to message me.
