As your private Guide / translator we will explore the stunning village of Rocamadour with its mediaeval streets and famous church, holding a rare Black Madonna. Discovering this ancient site will help take you back in time, walking in the footsteps of the pilgrims you will experience the atmosphere of this beautiful village, miraculously perched on a cliff. After a delicious regional French lunch we will go to the local prehistoric cave of Cougnac. I have worked as a guide of prehistoric cave art in 3 major sites, two in the Dordogne including Lascaux II. I have an indepth knowledge of this ancient and mysterious culture which I would love to share with you. As practising professional artist I will be able to reveal and point out relevant details of this fabulous art and allow to see more clearly its origins. With insights into why they were created you will come away wanting to discover more.
I will meet and greet you at your Hotel In the morning we will drive through wonderful countryside to the beautiful village of Rocamadour. This will be followed by a delicious, regional lunch. In the afternoon we will vist the local prehistoric cave of Cougnac At the end of the day we will part at your Hotel The total driving time (depending on traffic) is roughy 3 and half hours.

If you do not have a car I will hire a car. Modern, comfortable, clean and airconditioned. Hiring of the car will necessarily mean an extra fee.
