Guided Private Tour - Castles and Prehistoric Cave Art

We will meet at your hotel and travel to the fascinating prehistoric cave of the 100 Mammoths in Rouffignac, where we will travel 2 kms into the cave on wonderful electric train. With my interest and passion in prehistory I will be able to add to your visit by giving you many more interesting insights into this ancient culture. After a delicious lunch we will visit the "sleeping beauty" Chateau des Milandes, once home of Josephine Baker, the famous singer/dancer and member of the French Resistance. Here that she lived with her 12 adopted children, "the Rainbow Tribe". I have worked here as a guide so have in depth knowledge of the visit. There is also a wonderful display of falconery in the beautifully laid out gardens. We will also visit the beautiful village La Roque Gageac beside the river Dordogne and travel through some stunning countryside.
