Best of Van Gogh Private tour

Walk on Van Gogh's steps and experience Provence just like he did ! Known as the "Father of Modern Art", Van Gogh arrived from Paris to Arles by train on 18 February 1888. While visiting Arles, you will get to see all the major sites the artist went to while he was staying in the Roman capital. Even if he did not stay long in Arles, his stay was immensely prolific. His vision and technique matured and he completed over 300 paintings there. After lunch, you will go to Saint Paul de Mausole, an inspirational place for the artist and a psychiatric institution, housed in a former monastery where Van Gogh allowed himself to be committed. During most of his stay there he was confined to the grounds of the asylum but that did not prevent him from painting close to 150 works inspired by the light, hills, buildings and flowers he could see. During the tour, you will learn why the artist was immediately fascinated by Provence and plenty other interesting anecdotes and stories related to the artist's life.
