Omaha & Gold Beach - Normandy WWII Landings Tour

Starting in Bayeux, the first main town liberated in WWII, I'll provide a good overview of both the Allied Forces' & the German's plans, so everyone understands the big picture. You'll have a good notion of things once we get to our first stop in the eastern side of Gold Beach. Here, we'll talk about the landings of the 69th Brigade and the awarding of the only Victoria Cross presented on D-Day. We'll visit the beautiful British Memorial too, overlooking Gold Beach, before reaching its west end, driving to the commune of Asnelle. We'll discuss the landings on this area and look at the remains of the British Mulburry harbour. We'll also tour around the German Gun Battery at the commune of Longues sur Mer. Besides Gold Beach, we'd also visit Omaha beach, where we'd have lunch, which could be either a sandwich or a restaurant meal. In the afternoon at Omaha, we'll look at the American landings, visit German defenses in the area walking by the beach, and drive to the incredible American Cemetery above it.
