Full day Canadian D-Day tour

Starting the day in Bayeux, we head to Arromanches to see the Mulberry artificial harbour. At Graye-sur-Mer, Courseulles-sur-Mer you will learn about how the Canadian Scottish and Royal Winnipeg Rifles attack one of the best prepared German coastal defences. In Bernières-sur-Mer we'll see the Canada House and learn of the Queen's Own Rifles of Canada and the many problems they faced. Then on to St Aubin-sur-Mer, which was assaulted by the North Shore New Brunswick Regiment and British Commandos. Inland we'll learn of the RCAF and their temporary airfields. We'll visit the Canadian War Cemetery at Bény-Reviers next, to pay our respects to the fallen. The last stop on this tour is Abbey d'Ardenne. This is the site where Canadian POWs were murdered by the SS. Throughout the day, on route, as well as on location, I will share the planning and preparations involved to get the largest military operation in history organized, which units were involved, what their objectives were, and how victory was achieve.
