This trip around the Montmirail laces mountain range will make the link between the mental image you had of the Provencal countryside, its vineyards, its villages, its timeless landscapes, and a reality that will sublimate all your expectations. Nothern Provence, for wine lovers, is above all the Côtes du Rhône wine region. It is known to be an area that makes great use of red wines such as Grenache and Syrah, where the terroir is strongly expressed. The wine making in this region is very special, for it was shaped by men since the oldest antiquity. To discover this authentic Provence you must explore it, breathe its scents, touch its soil, embrace its landscapes and walk the streets of its villages, that's why I do not propose a sheer visit to vineyards, but a true immersion in the territory. There are dozens of wineries in this region. We will visit 2 of the most splendid ones, according to your preference and seasonal availability, and enjoy the scenic routes through the vines with numerous stops.
·We will begin after picking you up from your lodging, and we'll head to the Chateaneuf-du-Pape area. ·Before arriving to the selected vineyard (depending on your taste, availability, the season, I'll suggest one or another, such as La Nerthe, Bouachon, or Telegraph) we'll make a a stop by the castle of Chateauneuf, which embraces a view over the region. ·Once we've gotten to the vineyard, you'll enjoy a tasting to get acquainted with the essentials of this prestigious appellation. ·Next, I'll take you on a drive through little streets where the landscape covered with vines is typical of the northern Provence. ·After crossing a sea of vines, we'll stop by the village of Seguret to discover the charm of its old streets. ·Then, we'll make another stop at the Gigondas village with a specific stop at a panoramic viewpoint. ·Later we'll go across Vasqueyras & Beaumes-de-Venise. ·In one of this appellations, depending on your taste, we'll have a tasting in a winery. ·At last, we'll go back to your lodging.
