THE KING'S ROAD All-Inclusive Excursion: Raseborg Castle & Mills - Cultural Heritage of Tammisaari - Hanko Wooden Villas

Let's discover the most beautiful Southern Finland history and travel via the King's Road. The road has been traveled by the kings and their couriers, bishops and burghers, artists and armies since the 14th century. Various manors, farms, inns and taverns sprang up along the road, which accommodated and supported the travelers. Swedish kings and Russian tsars stayed in the manor castles of noble families. The route starts from Bergen in Norway passing Oslo and Stockholm crossing the sea through the Åland archipelago to Turku in Finland and ending up in Vyborg in Russia. During this tour we will stop by both in the famous Fiskars (1649) and Billnäs (1641) Ironworks Mills. We will admire the wonderful Mustio Castle Ironworks mill from 1560 and Raseborg Castle from 1370. Next are the Villa Skeppet by Alvar Aalto from 1970 and the old stone church of Tammisaari from 1680. Finally you will see the old villas of Hanko, which represent the decorative wooden architecture around the Hanko Spa from the 19th century.
