Hi, my name is David and I was born and raised in Quito, Ecuador. I have a university degree in Ecology and tourism and over 16 years ago I started working as a naturalist guide in the lodges located in the Ecuadorian Amazon Rain forest. However, nowadays, I guide everywhere in Ecuador! During all my years working as a guide, I have been learning more about Ecuador, not only about nature but also about the history & culture of my country and the indigenous groups that inhabited it. Due to my work I also got the chance to explore and travel to several sites and destinations inside Ecuador so I have added those special visits to my tours. I have guided groups as well as independent travelers coming from many parts of the world, which allowed me to know firsthand the needs and requirements of the different guests visiting this country. Some of my hobbies come handy with my work as a guide, and gave me a plus in my job such as: photography of fauna and nature, bird watching and trekking. Currently I am working as a TBL Tour Guide and I have been doing it since 2017 enjoying it very much. With this new situation of the pandemic I kept myself learning more about art and culture of Quito and Ecuador and I am preparing all my tours to go according to my client's requests. My tours range from City Tours of the Old Town in Quito, to day trips and circuits to the surrounding areas of Quito and around the country. From the Amazon Rainforest and through the Andes. Plus all the itineraries can be customized to meet your needs. I look forward to seeing you in Quito and Ecuador! David National Tourist Guide Licence provided by the Ministry of Tourism in Ecuador. I have training and experience in Bird watching Basic Ecuadorian geology training First Aids training

Experience one of Ecuador’s most iconic destinations in a truly unique way—on horseback through Cotopaxi National Park. Just 1.5 hours south of Quito along the legendary Avenue of the Volcanoes, Cotopaxi rises over 19,400 feet as one of the world’s highest active volcanoes. This full-day private adventure takes you off the typical tourist path and deep into the Andean highlands, where only horses can reach. Ride through hidden trails alongside chagras (Andean cowboys), surrounded by breathtaking páramo landscapes, wild horses, and soaring condors. No prior riding experience is needed—routes are adapted to your comfort and skill level, making it perfect for all ages. If time allows, we’ll enjoy an additional short activity to make the most of the day. This is the perfect way to explore Cotopaxi—wild, authentic, and unforgettable.
We depart in the morning from your hotel towards Cotopaxi volcano (1h30 drive to the entrance). An impressive sight to see if weather conditions are in our favor. During our stay at the National Park we will admire its natural environment, the Flora and Fauna of the area with explanations from your naturalist guide (me) while we wander on our horses on the different paths of the National Park. We will finish our stay at the National Park with lunch or Box Lunch (preview reservation) and will return to Quito. If time allows we could: Walk the Paramo trail where we will have the chance to be by a canyon and see the transition of vegetation or the Paramo ecosystem together with a pine tree forest. Return to Quito after the activity. Time established of horseback riding is 2 hours. In case you want to add more time to it, an extra cost will have to be paid at the site.
