A visit to Tortuga Bay, the Surfers Beach (Playa Brava) and the Quiet Beach (Playa Mansa), often referred to as Tortuga Bay Beach has got to be one of the most beautiful beaches we've ever come across on our travels. The beach is located at the end of a 2. 5 km trail, southwest of Puerto Ayora and despite being a bit of a hike away, it's a spot definitely worth visiting. Think about it: white sand, captivating blue water and observing marine iguanas, pelicans and flamingos. . . With other 15 minutes walk we can reach Playa Mansa, also called The Quite Beach. You can swim there and try how fast we are on kayaks! You will leave the islands having discovered the natural beauty of the Galapagos, that's what I aim. Also, making comfortable and a stress free tour where you can fully focus on exploring and experience the island life by immersing yourself in the local culture, enhancing the lives of local Galapagueño people.
- Possible start in the morning or in the afternoon with pick up at your hotel to the entrance of the Galápagos National Park (15 minutes or less by foot or 3 minutes if you are in town). - Start the 2. 5 km walk to reach the Surfers Beach taking 35 minutes, then we can appreciate the long white sand beach, walk across amazing places almost taken from a movie, marine iguanas, pelican and frigate birds flying around. - We can choose the little pond "La pozita" as a kind of hot tub and also reach the Playa Mansa to swing in this kind of bay/lake. As an option there are kayaks available. This place is lovely, you can take time for relax, mediation or just enjoy a sunbath. - Return through the same path - 35 to 45 minutes. * Highly suggested to carry enough water, some snacks, snorkeling gear, shoes or hiking sandals. Also useful hat, sun screen, long sleeves, swimsuit, sunglasses and light towel. *Possible pick up at the cruise peer/dock at the Itabaca Channel by private transportation (about 45 min drive)
