Roskilde; viking ship museum and Unesco World Hertiage - Royal burial cathedral

During the corona-lockdown, resulted in me travelling around the country to do research at all the important viking sites in Denmark. This gave me an even bigger insight into this dramatic period of our history - and gave me what I needed to tour with a quite popular lecture about Viking sites in Denmark. The Viking era is told on site here in Roskilde, which is one of the very old towns of Denmark with a special environment. Lying on top of a hill overlooking the fjord where Vikings went out with their ships one thousand years back. We feel the historic mode of the town through visiting the Viking Ship Museum and the Roskilde Cathedral; burial place for 38 kings and queens from early 1400 and onwards. We walk through the area of Skt. Jorgensbjerg; the old fishing village of Roskilde, where we enjoy the environment with picturesque houses from the 17 and 18 hundreds. The history of the present town dates back to 12-1300, but even earlier Harald Bluetooth built a church in Roskilde.
