As someone who has spent the past nine years exploring every corner of this beautiful country, Roskilde remains my favorite destination, especially for its Viking ships. We’ll visit the Viking Ship Museum, where you’ll see some of the world’s oldest Viking ships on display. You’ll learn about their origins, how they were built, and the incredible stories behind them. At the shipyard, we might even find craftsmen at work—axe in hand—building replicas using traditional techniques. If we’re lucky, we’ll get to see the reconstructed ships up close, and yes, you can even step aboard to experience Viking life firsthand! There’s also a chance to dress up as a Viking and snap a fun photo to remember the day. Roskilde Cathedral is another highlight. Together, we’ll discover its stunning architecture, hear fascinating stories about the Danish kings and queens buried there—like the legendary Queen Margaret I—and explore how the cathedral has evolved throughout the centuries.

We’ll take the regional train heading to the city of Roskilde, and then we’ll follow the itinerary on foot. The terrain is varied, ranging from flat areas to rocky paths, including a small forest and a slight uphill section.

We will meet at the entrance of Copenhagen Central Station, located across from one of the entrances to Tivoli Gardens, right next to the hotdog stand. The meeting point is flexible. I can pick you up at the airport, your hotel, or any specific location of your choice. However, the tour's estimated duration is planned based on my suggested starting point. Depending on where we begin, the itinerary, tour duration, and price may vary.
