A boat tour around the Inner Harbor is a sensory and relaxing journey through the city’s past and present. We will get on the modern public harbor boats and sail through the scenic waterfront of Copenhagen. We will get on the boat at the north harbor and sail through the history of the city. You will see the iconic skyline dominated by Palace and church towers, while hearing how the Danish capital have evolved from a small Viking village into the modern green city that it is now. The stories will be filled with dramatic events and a touch of humor to make it all digestible. We will get off at the modern new neighborhood of South Harbor for a coffee/tea or cold beverage and then walk through this hip and modern new part of the city to see and hear about the everyday life of the average Copenhagener. We end up by getting onto the new metro line back to inner city were I will wrap things up by giving you suggestions for the best dining spots in the city.
Starting point at Kongens Nytorv(in front of the Royal Theatre). - We get on the metro and ride to the endline(7min) to Orientkaj. -We then onboard one of the public boats and sail through the Inner Harbour for approx. 1,5 hours to the end point, Teglholmen. Highlights seen from the boat. -North Harbour (new Danish architects) -Refshaleøen (old industrial area) -Nyholm(navy Military) -Inner city harbour front (Kastellet, the Opera, Nyhavn, Christianshavn, Black Diamond, Royal Brewery. -Islands brygge. - South Harbour -We get of the boat and have a break at a cafe. Then we go for a walk (approx. 2 km) through the new neighborhood of Copenhagen south harbor and see the new city canals, architecture and houseboats of the city. -We get back to city center with the new metro.
