Two Great Museums North of Copenhagen: Karen Blixen and Louisiana

We'll be taking the train today, to get out of the city and let our eyes enjoy the beautiful countryside and beautiful homes to the north of Copenhagen. Our destinations are two of my favorite museums in Denmark. Karen Blixen museum, which was the home of the Danish writer, very well known for writing Out of Africa. Her home is a true jewel, and visiting this unique museum which is run by people who are extremely dedicated to celebrating and telling about her life is captivating. I'll tell you stories of her life and tour the house. We can take a walk in the surrounding bird sanctuary, which the foundation in her name protects. After this visit, we'll take the train further north to the town of Humlebæk, where the world famous Louisiana Museum of Modern Art is located, perched on a hill above the waters of the Oresund.
