A day exploring the coast to the north of Copenhagen is well worthwhile. Louisiana is a world famous sculpture/art museum with a spectacular restaurant and view of the Swedish coast. Kroneborg is the inspiration of Hamlet and the historic heart of the Danish maritime economy. Everyone loves "Out of Africa:" - "I had a farm in Africa ..." Exploration can also be done by bike or private vehicle, customized to your individual or groups' needs.
Start at the Copenhagen central train station. Stops between Copenhagen and Helsingor will include the following: - Baaken, the oldest amusement park in the world - Dyrhavn, the royal hunting grounds; - The Karen Blixen Home - Louisiana Art Museum - Historic Helsingor - Kroneborg Castle Biking along the coast is a fine option. The total biking time would be about 2 1/2hours one way, so the return would be by Danish train. It is also easy as pie to put the bike on the train at any point along either way. Private car is another option.

Public transportation is the recommended option. However, biking or private car also work well for a wonderful 6-8 hour day.
