Discover Famagusta, the city of golden sand on this full day-tour

A full day tour to the occupied part of the island offering you perspectives of Cyprus intriguing spots. The medieval town of Famagusta - the Ghost town of Varoshia and a visit to Saint Barnaba's monastery the founder of Christianity in the island and archaeological and Icon Museum. We first visit the city kingdom of Salamis 12 BC with its Gymnasium, the roman baths, and the impressive Greek theater. We walk by the tower of Othello where the Opera Othello's was played. Through the market street with its local traditional products and restaurants we visit the Lala Mustafa Mosque (Previously St. Nicola's Gothic Church 12 century AD), the Venetian palace, and the church of St. Peter and Paul. After our coffee break, we will drive through the main streets and alongside the ghost town of Famagusta. A visit the Constantia Beach will follow to see the ghost town hotels where, before 1974, it was the major place of attraction in Cyprus.
