Overview of your Zagreb tour:

On this tour, we will see some of the most profound sacred places in Croatia. It is a great opportunity if you wish to discover this other element of a country, something very personal to people and yet so universal. This is a tour for everyone who wishes to discover that, but also find some more of the inner peace, clarity, insight, and even strength. In this tour we will see the areas of Gorski Kotar (a mountainous area of Croatia with large forests), Kvarner (also known as the Gates of Adriatic), and Istria (the Westernmost part of Croatia, peninsula with rolling hills and rich culture and history). In Gorski Kotar we will visit a sacred hill with a hilltop 15th century Carmelite church. In Kvarner we will see Trsat, one of the most important pilgrimage site in Croatia. In Istria we will see one or two of the following: the church of St. Blaz in Vodnjan (known for its many relics and natural mummies), the church of St. Foska (known for its potent earth energy) and Rt Kamenjak (Cape of Istria)

Your Zagreb tour itinerary

- morning pick up at your hotel - first stop will be Sveta Gora (Sacred Hill) in Gorski Kotar. There we will reach the top of that Hill to enjoy the view and the atmosphere, and to see hilltop church (from inside or outside) of the Lady of Carmelite. - continuing to Trsat in Rijeka, a very important Christian pilgrim site with a 13th century Franciscan church, monastery, and a nearby fort. The church hosts a relic from the cave of Annunciation in Nazareth and a painting of Mary thought to have been painted by Luke the Evangelist. - continuing to Istrian Peninsula, the westernmost point of Croatia. We will visit one or two of the following (depending on time and your personal interest): the church of St. Blaz in Vodnjan, the church of St. Foska and Rt Kamenjak (Cape of Istria), a beautiful place in nature and sacred to ancient Ilyrians, the culture that thrived on these lands in pre-Christian times. Optional free to time for swimming and reflection. - returning to Zagreb in the evening.
