Klis Fortress Tour with a Local

We start where my childhood adventures began – right at the fortress gate, where I’ll share what it was like growing up with a medieval playground in my backyard. As we climb the ancient steps, I’ll take you through centuries of history—from wild Illyrian tribes to Croatian kings, and fearless Uskoks who defended this rock like legends. We'll pause at the windy walls, where the view is so good, even the invading armies couldn’t resist it. And yes, I’ll tell you about the famous Bura wind that nearly carried me away once! Inside the fortress, we’ll walk through stone corridors where stories still echo—some heroic, some tragic, and a few with surprising twists (Game of Thrones fans, you’ll recognize a few spots!). Before we say goodbye, I’ll give you my favorite local tips—from where to taste the best lamb to hidden trails only locals know. You’ll leave with a full heart, and maybe a few goosebumps.
