Rainforest Hike & Organic Farm From La Fortuna

Natural beauty all around. The relaxing sound of Sarapiqui River's white waters and the symphony of frogs, Great-green macaws, howler monkeys and toucans welcoming us as we walk into the dense Rainforest of Sarapiqui. Once, the former indigenous territory of the "Sa-ra-pi-quis" tribe, is nowadays a living lab and a haven for scientists, biologists, avid-birdwatchers and nature lovers alike. We will hike the trails leisurely, discovering the intricate relations between the animal and botanical species of this wonderful ecosystem. Then we head to the organic farm where we will enjoy a hearty traditional Costa Rican lunch with La Familia. Followed by a tour of the farm. Don Gabriel and Dona Irene, grow all kinds of crops with the help of their boys, who will proudly share with us their passion and of course the most delicious tropical fruits and even the so-called "Food of Gods". There will be time for coffee (also grown at the farm) before we return to La Fortuna.
