Located 15 kilometers from Fortuna in the northwest part of Costa Rica, between the foothills of the Cordillera de Tilaran mountain range and the San Carlos plains, Arenal Volcano National Park is one of the most visited destinations in the Northern Zone. Several trails—Heliconias, Coladas, Tucanes and Los Miradores—allow observation of much of the park's flora and fauna, as well as the remains of lava tracts. The park covers a 12, 124-hectare area. Visitor services include information, a park ranger station, trails, communication means, restrooms & drinking water. The Arenal Volcano has the most perfect cone of all the volcanoes in the world. It has been famous and recognized worldwide due to the wonderful eruptions in the past. However, the Arenal Volcano is completely inactive. Embark on this adventurous walk to the majestic Arenal Volcano and as we hike up surrounded by breathtaking views of lush rainforest, I'll share my knowledge and input with you as an experienced local guide specialized in nature
·Pick up from your hotel lobby in the Fortuna area or another requested location. ·Drive for 25 minutes through a scenic road towards Arenal Volcano Park site. ·On arrival, we'll begin a hike along the trails for up to 3 hours through the forest up to the lava fields. ·Next, we'll be picked up at the end of lava fields once concluded the hiking. Our driver will be waiting for us there. ·We'll then depart from the National Park grounds and head towards the Hot Springs Resort. ·On arrival, you'll be able to soak & relax at the Natural Hot Springs Resort. The resort stays open until 9:00 pm. ·At last, you'll be picked up from the hot springs resort and dropped off at your hotel in the Fortuna Area. This itinerary could be customized upon request.
