Hanging Bridges hike and La Fortuna Waterfall Tour

On this tour we will go to a couple of the "must see" places in La Fortuna. First, we will enjoy a walk in a wonderful private reserve of 250 hectares of protected tropical jungle called Puentes Colgantes Místico that has 16 bridges of which 10 are stationary and 6 are hanging. This beautiful ecosystem can be enjoyed quietly through well-prepared trails and suspension bridges that allow us to have different perspectives of the forest, where it is possible to observe a great variety of fauna such as howler monkeys, spider monkeys, sloths, as well a wide variety of wonderful birds such as toucans, hummingbirds, trogons and more. From the sturdy bridges you can enjoy a beautiful view of the majestic Arenal Volcano on a clear day.

Then, we will discover a jewel in the middle of a dense natural reserve, the La Fortuna Waterfall. During our tour you will have the opportunity to take extraordinary photographs and after going down 500 steps you will have the possibility to swim in the river pool if is not raining.

Waterfall Canyoning & Zip Line Tour in La Fortuna

La Fortuna is like an extensive outdoor playground and this tour features two of the most fun and exciting activities.

We will go canyoning beautiful gorges and descend "in crescendo" tall waterfalls. Zip line through the rainforest and jumping in fresh cool water ponds is also part of the deal. An adrenaline rush is guaranteed!

The extraordinary views to Arenal Volcano, the evergreen surroundings and common animal-watching (such as monkeys, toucans and sloths) make this experience a one to remember.

A tasty traditional lunch will be enjoyed after this adventure at a local-family owned "soda". Once we return to downtown La Fortuna, there will be time for coffee (specialty coffee shops will be recommend) or explore at your own.

Monteverde Night Tour

On the Tenorio volcano we're going to have the opportunity to visit one of the seven natural wonders of Costa Rica, a range granted through a vote made by Costa Rican lovers of this treasure.
The slopes of the volcano will be our destination, we will start the hike in a path that offers a wide diversity of flora and fauna as part of the attraction, as well as a charming waterfall. At the end of the path, two rivers of crystalline waters await us, this turn in to turquoise color. It is not an act of magic, it is a natural spectacle that you can only appreciate at the site known as the Teñidero.
Every time I visit this wonderful place, it comes to my mind when on one of my tours with three travelers we saw a wild tapir in the courtyard of a house and two children threw guavas that the tapir ate.
So, even though these animals are nocturnal it is possible to see them once in a while during the daytime in this area of the country if we are lucky.

Rio Celeste & Tenorio Volcano National Park Hiking Tour

Hidden in the dense rainforest of Tenorio Volcano National Park exists a magical river, Rio Celeste, a natural wonder, a piece of paradise. The bright turquoise river and astonishing waterfall are the result of a high concentration of aluminosilicates produced at "Los Teñideros" where the Buena Vista and Quebrada Agria rivers merge.

Seeing how the rivers get together with their crystalline and turquoise streams is certainly a fantastic reward after a good hike.

This sacred territory for our native indigenous Malekus is still the habitat for many of their spirit animals, such as the sloth, the howler monkeys, toucans, tapirs and the striking jaguar. With a bit of fortune and attention to "some signals" we might be able to spot some of them.

The scenic viewpoints to the river and the amazing evergreen mountains along the trail will serve us as quick stops on our way to the imposing waterfall.
