Tianjin Port Excursion Tour - Huangyaguan Great Wall

This is the tour for those arriving by cruise ship to the port at Tianjin and who have only a limited time but are still interested in sightseeing, trying local food, and experiencing the Chinese culture. The first choice for most people is to visit the Great Wall but for people that have only one day in the Beijing area, visiting the Great Wall by going from Tianjin to Beijing and than to the Great Wall is not practical. It's just too far and time consuming to travel that route in one day. The best choice is to bypass Beijing and go directly from Tianjin to Huangyaguan which is on the Great Wall. From the port to the Great Wall is only about 2. 5 hours each way instead of going through Beijing which would be 3-4 hours each way. Also, this part of the Great Wall is less crowded and more beautiful! Also, this part of the wall was the site of the 2015 Olympic marathon. Luckily, I was fortunate to be one of the guides for that event! You won't see many people. This will give you a more personal experience!
