As a tour guide, I am not only offering the visitor many well known world class historic sites but I also like to explore additional special places for my clients that are off the beaten path. I am happy to present to you that I have found a very different view of the rich heritage of China that is close to Beijing in a small well preserved village. I remember my first visit to this village and the feeling of walking into China's past. What a magical, amazing feeling from the layout of the self contained village, to the construction of the homes and shops, to the life of the people living there. Everything appears to be as it was 500 years ago! The village is set in a peaceful valley and all the homes and buildings are very well preserved. This intimate approach allows you to make contact with the locals, understand the ranking of the owners, inspect the construction details of the homes, and get a real feel for the village life. I would like to share with you this incredible experience!
- Your Guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel lobby. (It is about a 2 hour ride). - Explore the beautiful and historic village of Cuandixia on this day tour outside of the city. Roam past courtyard houses and streets lined with traditional architecture, a challenging hike leads you to a gorgeous viewpoint on the mountain. - Stop for lunch in a local restaurant try the nice and different foods. - Back to the city, to Jingshan park enjoy the Bird's eye view to the Forbidden city. (optional) - Back to hotel. Note: We can arrange a night accommodation in Cuandixia village. You can take a walk in the evening as well as the early morning to enjoy the peaceful village. You can also visit the temple in a more relaxed tour and witness the life of the local people.
