Summer Palace is located to the northwest outskirts of Beijing. It is the best-preserved imperial garden in the world and one of the largest of its kind still in existence in China. It is famous for the halls, paintings, waters, pavilions, bridges, islands, and courtyards. It can be the combined museum of arts and natures and man-made constructions. Lama Temple is a famous lamasery in the northeastern part of Beijing. It's the largest lamasery and one of the best preserved lama temples at the present time; it's also a well known monastery of the Gelugpa, the yellow sect of Tibetan Buddhism in Mainland China.
