Cajón del Maipo & El Yeso Reservoir – A Full Day in the Andes

We begin with pickup in Santiago and head southeast toward the Andes, following the Maipo River. Our first stop is the historic Túnel Tinoco, a mysterious abandoned tunnel with local legends. We continue through mountain villages like San José de Maipo and El Romeral, pausing for scenic viewpoints and photo stops along the way. By mid-morning, we arrive at the breathtaking El Yeso Reservoir, known for its turquoise waters and alpine views — perfect for photos and a short walk. On our return, we visit the Salto El Yeso waterfall, tucked into the cliffs. We then stop at Cascada de las Ánimas, a peaceful lodge and nature reserve, where you can enjoy a relaxed lunch of Chilean cuisine surrounded by nature. After a full day of exploration and Andean landscapes, we return to Santiago in the late afternoon. The day is fully customizable, with flexibility depending on weather and your preferences.
