Sightseeing first stop is Parque Metropolitano de Santiago in order to ride a cable car to get the tallest elevation and take a magnificent overview from the city. Plaza de Armas and Cathedral our next stop in the heart or ground zero Santiago's foundation.

A short distance ride from there to Palacio de la Moneda to explain more about Chilean politics. At few minutes away Lastarria and Santa Lucia, very iconic districts with a super vibrant life gathering trendy bars and restaurants. Passing through a fruit valley called curacavi, with its abundance in Mediterranean fruits like avocados, almonds or peach is pleasant but Casablanca, with its famous variety of white grapes like chardonnay or sauvignon blanc and in reds l pinot noir is a must, especially for those wine lovers.

Valparaiso is a port with character, 43 hills creating an amphitheater shape with winding narrow cobbled streets. In 2003 it was declared human heritage site by UNESCO, and many buildings are brightly repainted in pastel colours. I suggest doing a mural and graffiti walk on Conception and Alegre hills, which I master pretty well, after over 19 years of discovering hidden alleys.

Valpo is also a good opportunity to try some delicious seafood or fish, there are restaurants overlooking the bay. For a great finale a glimpse of nearby seaside resort, Viña.

With a colourful 120 km drive heading west towards the coast from Santiago, we first cross a fruit valley called curacavi .
Valparaiso, also known as the pearl of the Pacific during the eighteen hundreds, is an eclectic city port, with rich history and interesting features like funiculars that connect the hills with the financial centre, antique American made trolleybuses built in the nineteen fifties.
Here we can walk through narrow cobbled streets and enjoy some of the bohemian art, from murals to graffiti.
In 2003 Valparaiso was named world heritage site by Unesco and especially on Concepcion and Alegre hills you can really feel that presence in the bright pastel coloured houses.
Lunch overlooking the bay would be a good suggestion.
Before leaving the coast, we do a glimpse of the nearby seaside resort city Viña del Mar.
On the way back there are several winery options, one being Bodegas Re , a small winery that does unique blends like blending Cab. with Carignan or pink moscat with pinot noir, etc.
