In a five hours journey, chef Tatán will take you to the city's main Fish and Fresh markets where he will buy the catch of the day and visit the largest fresh market in Latinamerica. On the way to Tatan's home you will sightsee beautiful Santiago and some of its gastronomic neighborhoods.

Once we get to his apartment Tatan invites you to a full Cocktail& Lunch with a panoramic view of Los Andes mountain, Manquehue Hill, and the beautiful gardens of a Golf Club.

In Tatan's kitchen everyone will prepare a Ceviche for an entree with the fresh catch he bought at the Mercado Central and then we will prepare a main course called Charquican, one of the oldest and more popular dishes from Mapuche culture down south of Chile.

Reserve wines will be served, Sauvignon Blanc for the Oysters and Ceviche, and Carmenere/Cabernet Sauvignon for the Tapas and main course. Of course, you will try the local cocktail Pisco Sour. . a great way to celebrate our tour!

Valparaiso Port and Viña del Mar Experience

Passing through a fruit valley called curacavi, with its abundance in Mediterranean fruits like avocados, almonds or peach is pleasant but Casablanca, with its famous variety of white grapes like chardonnay or sauvignon blanc and in reds l pinot noir is a must, especially for those wine lovers.

Valparaiso is a port with character, 43 hills creating an amphitheater shape with winding narrow cobbled streets. In 2003 it was declared human heritage site by UNESCO, and many buildings are brightly repainted in pastel colours. It has unique interesting features like funiculars or little elevators and antique American made trolley buses that still work on electric lines.

I suggest doing a mural and graffiti walk on Conception and Alegre hills, which I master pretty well, after over 19 years of discovering hidden alleys.

Valpo is also a good opportunity to try some delicious seafood or fish, there are restaurants overlooking the bay. For a great finale a glimpse of nearby seaside resort, Viña.

Hidden treasures of Valparaiso

Santiago, the Capital of Chile is a very special city surrounded by big mountains: The "Cordillera de los Andes" to the East, the "Cordillera de la Costa" to the West, which creates the very beautiful Central Valley of Chile.

With 8 million residents, this huge cosmopolis mixes history and modernity. Many urban parks &amp; green areas scattered around the city also make it very nice to live &amp; to visit.

On this tour, we'll visit the Costanera Sky Centre, which has an amazing viewpoint at the top of its 62 floors, that offers a 360 degree view of the city. It also has a fantastic Restaurant a few floors below &amp; even a huge shopping centre further down!

The neighbourhood surrounding is known as Sanhattan due to being a mix of Santiago and Manhattan.

But I also want to take you to a more traditional Chilean area: Los Dominicos. Besides being a Certified Guide, I also have a Certification in the National Information System of Handicrafts, and this is a great place to find something, meeting those who crafted them.

Sightseeing first stop is Parque Metropolitano de Santiago in order to ride a cable car to get the tallest elevation and take a magnificent overview from the city. Plaza de Armas and Cathedral our next stop in the heart or ground zero Santiago's foundation.

A short distance ride from there to Palacio de la Moneda to explain more about Chilean politics. At few minutes away Lastarria and Santa Lucia, very iconic districts with a super vibrant life gathering trendy bars and restaurants. Not far from there Parque Forestal and its classical architecture like Museo de Bellas Artes or fine arts museum. Bellavista is another important name which worth to see around and describe.
