Walk in beautiful forest canopy to Quarry Rock Lookout for a stunning view of the Indian Arm. It's a perfect blend of coastal scenery and lush forest trails, making it an ideal day excursion. Experience the quaint village of Deep Cove and ascend to Quarry Rock Lookout for a stunning view of Indian Arm. This easy to moderate hike offers a perfect blend of coastal scenery and lush forest trails, making it an ideal day excursion. We will start with a beautiful drive along the coast for about 30-40 min before arriving at the trailhead. I will have lunch packed for us so you can just show up, relax, and enjoy the incredible scenery. We will hike to Quarry Rock, and have our lunch, and come back to Deep Cove where you can shop, get ice cream, grab a beverage or rent kayaks!
Timing is flexible, however here is a sample itinerary: 7:00am - Pick-up at your hotel or cruise ship 8:00am - Drive to Deep Cove over the famous Lion's Gate Bridge The drive is about 35 min to an hour from downtown depending on traffic 9:00am - Hike and lunch at Lookout We will begin our hike, which is mostly wooded and has boardwalks and some stairs. Athletic shoes are required! The hike is low-moderate intensity, but we will go at your pace of course! At the lookout, I will have snacks and lunch I picked up from a staple Vancouver bakery. (hike length flexible) 12:00pm - Visit Deep Cove We will walk along the waterfront, and can get coffee, ice cream or doughnuts (there is a very famous doughnut shop!) and do a little shopping. You can also rent kayaks if you'd like! 1:30pm - We will make our way back through North Vancouver. Optional extra stop example could be a local brewery, Stanley Park/the Seawall, or Gastown. ± 2-3:00pm - Drop-off to your original location or one of your choosing!
