If you are visiting the city, and feel the need to get in touch with nature, the only real way is to go to 1 of the 1,500 parks in Toronto, which is why Toronto Parks & Recreation slogan is "Toronto a City within a Park" Parks are just about everywhere, on smaller side streets, along the waterfront, plenty of dog parks & High Park even has a train and zoo. Growing up in Toronto the Parks have been like my backyard skating on ice rinks, playing baseball, going on a nature hike. We can even take a ferry boat To Toronto Island park. The parks are also unique to each neighborhood and celebrate what makes that neighborhood so great. On this tour will explore just that, stories of the people who the park is named after. So join me for an afternoon in the park.
• High Park has a zoo & the train to get you around, & the cherry blossoms that bloom every Spring, in winter tobogganing & ice skating, & the amazing colors of the trees in fall. • Harbourfront is Toronto's Waterfront, it features an art gallery, on the stage for live music performances we can even rent the boat and go on to Lake Ontario. • Evergreen Brickworks is the Old Brick Factory of Toronto, a great place to go on a little nature trail, it also has a greenhouse and an art gallery. • The Old Mill is along the Humber River, in past it was an Iroquoian village, then Shawnigan Lake Lumber Company, now one of Toronto's greatest hiking bike path trails, in autumn salmon run up the river, you may even encounter a deer. • Old Fort York Travel back in time to the war of 1812. • Queen's Park is the legislative assembly of the province of Ontario, with several monuments dedicated people who shaped Canada. • Centre Island - We have to take the Toronto Island Ferry or Boat Taxi

The TTC costs $3.25 for 2 hours, $13.50 for a day pass, not to worry but we can arrange these details when we meet.
