Welcome to Toronto! With 51% of Torontonians having been born outside of Canada, Toronto is not only one of world's most diverse cities, but one of the world's most liveable. What makes Toronto so unique? Certainly, the city is remarkably cosmopolitan in atmosphere, with world-class museums and and some of the best cultural institutions in the country. Yet it's Toronto's tapestry of neighbourhoods that truly make the city special, from the laid-back energy of the Beaches, to historic Cabbagetown, to trendy Trinity Bellwoods. As renowned Torontonian Jane Jacobs once said, "cities have the capability of providing something for everybody, only because, and only when, they are created by everybody. " Get to know Canada's biggest city by visiting some its best-known attractions, including the Waterfront, the Financial District and Kensington Market, while learning the stories behind the neighbourhoods that bind the city together.
Begin your exploration of Toronto from your accommodation, where we'll meet to start the day. From there, we'll first cover the city's core attractions, including the Waterfront, Financial District, and Kensington Market, before heading east to historic Old Town Toronto and/or west to West Queen West. Featured neighbourhoods include: - Cabbagetown and Corktown, where you can see examples of early Toronto Victorian architecture; - The Distillery District, where you can grab a leisurely afternoon coffee or drink; - St. Lawrence Market, where you can sample some of Toronto's most iconic eats; - Trinity Bellwoods, where you can wine, dine and shop on Ossington Avenue and West Queen West; - Little Italy, where you can experience a bit of la dolce vita; and - Liberty Village, where you can wander through one of Toronto's former manufacturing hubs. Tours can be tailored by time, interest and mode of transport, so please get in touch!
