Downtown Toronto lies along the shores of Lake Ontario, between the Humber River & the Don. It's the 4th largest City in North America, just behind Chicago in size. And like Chicago, it features an amazing waterfront full of beaches, parks, art, sculpture & restaurants. Toronto even has its own island reachable by ferry - no cars allowed! Our tour lets us see it all from the comfort of an iVOG Boost ebike. We'll cover about 30kms together with lots of time for snacks, photos & a lunch break. There are a couple hills, but you'll hardly notice them as you cruise on your ebike! Personally, I'm a member of the Tour Guides of Toronto and have a Masters in Urban Culture, so I'll be stopping by many points of interest to tell you stories of Toronto's past and discuss its future. You'll see gardens, art & Torontonians at play! I designed the tour route to be interesting, fun and safe (85% is on bike lanes), plus it's a one way route! Your bikes will be picked up at the end, so you can go on to enjoy your evening!
-The tour will start after meeting at the Zygg e-bike store in Toronto's West End, where you'll be fit with your ebike for the day. -Then its off to Toronto's fabulous High Park, a car-free zone that provides great views, glorious nature, and a snack bar. -Next, we'll move downhill to the Lakeshore at the Millenium Bridge on the historic Humber River and follow the lakeshore from there to Trillium Park at Ontario Place. -A short ride away is Harbourfront Centre, an arty place and a sweet spot to stop for lunch. -Later, a Water taxi will take us to Toronto Island; a car-free nature spot with great beaches and serene boardwalks. -After an hour of peaceful riding, we'll return by Ferry to the City and continue along the lakeshore path to the Distillery District: a must-see heritage spot. -Finall our bike path will take us up to Don Valley to our tour's end point at the Brickworks cafe and nature reserve. We'll rest with a drink here before you go on to enjoy your evening. Your bikes will be picked up here
