Embark on a whale-watching tour from Saint John on a steel ship from 1989, cruising through the Bay of Fundy as we keep an eye out for porpoises, seals and of course, whales! Spectacular soaring bald Eagles & many other pelagic sea birds feed here too. Since 1995, the ship's experienced Captains & crew have safely & successfully taken over 150,000 people from around the world in whale & wildlife viewing excursions in St Andrews. Its super low emission engine makes travelling in it more environmentally sensitive than most other industry vessels. The world’s highest tides occur twice-daily and stir up a bounty of food in the Bay of Fundy. This attracts several species of whales during the season from June to the end of October. Successful encounters with whales exceed 96% over the past years and report of stomach upset is extremely rare (1 in 3000). Get ready to voyage past sunning sea animals, lighthouses & beautiful landscapes on this wondrous and exhilarating adventure in the spectacular Bay of Fundy.
-After picking you up, we'll depart on an hour & a half drive to the coast of Saint Andrews. -On arrival, we'll get on board the tall ship. -Before departure, the ship's crew will provide a safety briefing to contextualize us on important notions to have for our journey. -What follows will be a whale watching adventure across the Passamaquoddy Bay, the playground of majestic maritime creatures. Be alert to hear someone shout ‘There she blows!’, then you'll know a whale has been spotted! -Along our trip, you'll then learn about the wildlife we may come across, such as Minke, Finback & Humpback Whales, Harbor and Grey Seals, endangered Harbor Porpoise, Bald Eagles & many sea birds. You'll get to check out samples of whale Baleen, Plankton & Krill, and there's even an on-board aquarium with starfish, sea urchins, crabs & more. -After a couple of hours of sailing and having passed by the famous East Quoddy Head Lighthouse, we'll return to the coast, to then get back on our vehicle and return to St John.

Honda Odyssey 2019. As for the ship, it's a 72 foot gaff rigged square rigged cutter. Its mast is made of Oregon pine, while the ship's interior is a blend of native New Zealand woods, karri & pine, plus some tropical hardwoods. It carries 4 tons of fresh water, a ton and a half of diesel, has a 1 ton holding tank. It is fully "Transport Canada" approved and undergo inspection every year. It has the lowest rate of carbon emissions with the use of motor and sails per passenger than any other vessel that Saint Andrews has to offer. There is a solid steel guard rail up the adult hip and a life line above that, allowing people to walk around freely on the decks.
